Going “old school”
Are you wondering what I mean by that? This phrase came up in a conversation that I was having with my administrative assistant yesterday. We were chatting about how we were both mad at grocery prices. I told her that I saw a spot on one of the news channels indicating grocery prices would rise about 10% in 2009. This makes me so mad. My family loves to eat! She advised me that one of her church members encouraged her to go “old school.”Old school means it is time to have a garden. Old school means its time to use our time and hands to provide fruits and vegetables that are budget friendly. I agree with her. I already have five different books on my desk about starting a vegetable garden in 2009. My goals for “going old school” are to have a fruit/vegetable garden in 2009 and to purchase meats from Angel Food Ministries. I am hoping that my goals will help provide a healthier existence for my family.

Will you be going “old school” next year?
